Should be easy to determine. Step 1) Measure the resistance of a 12 volt bulb (of a particular useage, ie. tail lamp/stop lamp) using a digital voltmeter. Step 2) Measure same type of lamp of unknown voltage. Step 3) If reading (in Ohms) is the same, lamp is 12 volt, if the reading is approximately one half of the known 12 volt resistance, the lamp is 6 volt.
