If you call your local FD, and they don't have thermal imaging gear, then they will want to tear out some of your drywall to look for hidden burning. This is called "overhaul" in fire-fighting parlance, and it is very necessary to prevent a later rekindling of a smoldering fire - not an uncommon thing at all - which by Murphy's Law always flares up at about 2:00 am. Rekindling can happen hours or even days later under the right circumstances.
