You have a full time 4x4 system. It has a differential in the transfer case, you can lock it manually, hence the 'lock' positions. The system will murder front tires, and also causes a feeling of 2 square tires on the front when turning sharply on pavement. But rear tires will last 10,00,000 miles. Kits may still be available to remove the differential and put hubs on the front to get it back to part time.
