Our local auto electric shop here on the outskirts of Fort Hood is owned by a retired Motor Sergeant who has fond memories of my old Dodges - particularly the military ones.

My son and I have one wire (self energizing) alternators in 6, 8, 12, and 24 volts in our various Dodge trucks (and one Ford 9N tractor). Earlier Delco 10S alternators had to be modified to one-wire.

The single belt pulley from an M-37/43 will also work on the Delco, but more than 1/2 inch must be milled off. "Sarge" did that for me on several pulleys. Didn't think I should pay $40 for replacement pulleys. What a guy!
