Just a point but having a Kill Switch for your engine might be handy out side of the cab. I was rewinding the cable on my winch by my self which I am sure many have done befor. Worked great engauged the PTO and then got out and shoved the Dogs in to the drum. Cable was going on nice and slow as I fed it on the drum. Got to the end and wanted to stop but the Clutch Handle stuck a little and the cable went tight and I had to run around jump in and disconect the PTO!@! Did not break anything but the cable got jamed into the drum and messed it up, one of the reasons I need new cable now! If you ever do this hook a tempory kill switch to the engine just for this reason. I am thinking of installing one perminitly on the truck with in reach of the winch for emergency use. It could come in handy for doing other things on the truck like working on it while it is running and being alone. You never know why you may need to shut it off fast. Best to re/wind the cable using 2 people for safety reasons these things can do damage, kill, pull off hands, fingers ect fast! I am thinking of using one of those Comercial Red Buttons you can just hit for the switch since I have a few. Mark H.
