I like the appearance of the military NDT as that is what they originaly came with. But having said that the rubber compounds used back then pale in comparison to the newer methods. My chief complaint was/is dryrot, not so much the ride. I've got a set of these on mine now with less than 100 miles and they are cracked so badly they are no longer road worthy. That is why I will go to the Michelins. Regarding conformity in the metric sizing that will only maybe work if you buy all five of them at one time. When you mix manufacturers even though they are the have the same size on the sidewall I defy you to find any the same size. I wish someone would develop a tire with the appearance of the NDT using modern technology, but probably not much of a market out there even if we all agreed to buy two full sets.
