I decided I would go with the 1/2" 6X26 IWRC Cable since it is stronger than the original cable and has a 11.8 ton breaking point or allmost 23,500 lbs 3 times the pulling power of the winch. Original cable was rated at 8.9 tons max new. I should be coverd and using a snatch block I could go up to 85% of 47,000 lbs befor breaking the cable way more than it could ever pull. Buying a proper snatch block runs around $300.00 so I will be looking for one some place else than at a dealer. I have had them befor from the power company and seen them at yards sales and auctions cheap. Mark H.
