That's one good thing about the jagged topography here -- it can be a raging blizard up on the ridges, but down in town it's calm. Somehow the snow has all missed us. Year before last, it rained all winter, and the snow level was about 500' above town. This year it's cold enough, but just no moisture. Three years ago I had 7' at my cabin. It was dense snow too -- you could walk on it without snow shoes and it caved in the cab of my 65 D200. It was up to the eves on my house in town that year too. Now there isn't even enough to slide off the roof yet.
