Oxy-propane works just like oxy-acetylene, but is cheaper since it uses propane rather than acetylene for the heat. Once the cut is started, the oxygen jet burns through the steel just like on a regular "blue wrench". The cut is no better and no worse. The only advantage is cheaper operation.
