It's been a long two weeks!
Started out day after Xmas heading to KS to pick up a little riding mower for AAA, also delivering a WC for Jim J and a two wheel drive for Don S down in TX. Had a major oil leak in the big truck on the way down..Wound up being bolts loose on the timing chain cover. Stopped at Fosters to unload the WC and reload another truck for AAA plus a ladder rack for me from Dwight, Mega thanks to Sam Goin for his skill with a torch when we had to Willy -N the frame on AAA's mint D400 to get it to fit on the trailer, also many thanks to John for letting me drop the truck for Jim and use his place as a temporary parking lot for the truck and trailer while I was there.
Headed for AAA's with a full load to drop for him and Don S plus some PW beds for ED. Wound up at AAA's in the dark and had lots of fun unloading, finally made it to MX on tues night and started my work on wends, spent my New Years in a truck stop hopeing not to get shot by the Mexicans celebrating New Years!
Left for home on Monday only to get held up in Dallas to wait out the Ice and snow storm in OK,KS and NE. I can't thank Sam and Tracy enough for their hospitality to this home sick Nebraskan while I waited until the roads got somewhat clear.
Made it home thursday night about 10 pm after leaving Dallas at 7.30 am that morning, bad roads with lots of snow and ice!
Glad to be home, 10 inches of snow on the ground right now, got the truck and trailer stuck trying to get up the driveway.
Did I mention I was glad to be home?
