Though I may have wanted to tell my son to help the terrorist get his due reward, I could not.
Now, the Army in its infinite wisdom rotates his schedule, having him do one week of guard duty every month. In the guard duty setting, I say take care of business, do what you need to do, kill or be killed and have no regrets. But in the setting of the hospital a retaliatory act would have irreversible consequences. Especially for a 20 year old that wants to come home finish his degree and apply to medical school. No matter how tempting a type of revenge may seem it’s always empty.
On a lighter side, before my son left he told us that the Iraqi people don’t use toilet paper. Instead everyone uses their left hand to wipe. As a result they’re offended if you try to touch them with your left hand. What’s funny is my son is left handed and naturally uses his dominant hand when taking care of patients.
