I have seen the V plows in use but think the straight blade is better for me here. We get a lot of snow here in NW Michigan (60 inches in two weeks of December) and I need to plow about 1/3 mile of private gravel road. It has hills but the Power Wagon does pretty well, usually able to plow going up hill if it is not too icey underneath.

Because my road runs E/W and the winds tend to be from the NW or SW, I get a lot of drifting. I like to be able to plow to the N or S depending on the wind.

I agree that the weight on the front tends to lighten up the back and I have gotten stuck. Chains would probably help but I never seem to get around to putting them on.

I do have a big alternator on mine because these hydraulic pumps suck huge amps...60-80 amp range.

I do not have any problem steering the truck with the weight of the plow, I am sure the snowy conditions help. However I drive it on dry roads to get gas and still find it ok.

The M-37 should work fine, and the shorter wheelbase makes it better in tight situations than the PW.
