When checking Gordon's forum you often see the same old post headings up top. I end up thinking nothing new has been posted... I know that's not the case, but taking the time to "drill down" to see what has been added, when I'm probably not following the topic in the first place, isn't likely to happen.
I like Joe's set up better. (No offense Gordon). It gives a topic heading, and a running set of titles that show were the topic is heading, and who's contributing to the conversation. If I'm interested in an "old" topic (nothing's older than a week or two anymore) I just scroll down to it to see if any new followups have been posted. I'd vote for the current setup.
