Thanks Chris, but I think I'm having trouble explaining myself, my brain is working faster then I can type, and that's not that fast. It's the cup and magnet that I need help on, the other stuf is pretty stright forward. The magnet obviously moves independent of the cup but on the same shaft, when I tilt the mechanism up or down, it seems as though they come in contact with each other and move together. There must be some sort of bushing that has worn. A clocksmith could probably help me. I did send it to an overhaul shop and they told me $200.00 for a new upgraded mechanism. I'm to old fashioned to give up on this one.
