That's a big honkin' generator, 100 amps at 24 volts. Was it some kind of radio truck? I have a bunch of 200 amp generators off M103 APCs, and they're beasts. Anyway, I seriously doubt there's any fuse in it. My guess is you fried something in the regulator with a voltage spike while welding. Second guess is you fried a diode, but they're usually more robust than the regulator innards. Simple test would be to BRIEFLY jumper B+ to the field and see if puts out lots of juice. If so, it's probably the reg. If not, I'd check the diodes.
