I do not own a timing lite but ,I do own a vacume gauge! With a vacume gauge you can adjust your carb and set timing.You can check the va
cume modulater on a transmision if you are unfortunate and own a chivvie or a phord.Factory timing settings are fine for emisions and hohum overall performancebut a gauge will tell where your motor wants to run.I know many many certified master techs who set there timing on there vehicles with a gauge and set the customers timing with a light or after pulling a code to adjust it.
