Ha!Ha! That's more like it! Yes the Angle Chart is not scalable, it gives actual measurements, such as "a 45" long drive line at 15 degrees will drop 12". That is real nice usable information, and I did see the bubble protractor. AND I DO UNDERSTAND the extreme angle deal Dan, my question is simlply about mathematical equasions, the vibrations and driveline issues I get, I have been building these units since 1968, I'm just trying to understand why Dana thinks 16 degrees is 3???.
On another note, on page 8, that chart and figure 4, Dana shows a diagram for exactly what started all of this discussion, the horizontal off-set of a driveline. If your rear driveline is 50" long, you can get by with about a 3" off-set, again as stated in my first post, ALL pinion and transfer case axis must be parallel and equal with-in 1 degree.
