I'm completing an installation of a 318 LA into a 56 w/ a NP420. I found two advantages with the LA, cheap rebuilds are available and there is a lot of room with the LA. With an old Streetmaster manifold, a 360 Holly 2210 2-bbl. and block huggers, it should produce about 140 hp and 250 ft-lbs.
