I am posting this in reply to an earlier post in this forum concerning a rebuilt 230 distributor. A few years ago I went down to Napa and bought one. When I got it home I found out it was a slant six dist. I then went to all the local parts houses, Kragen/Chief/Auto/Napa and they all had the same Cardone rebuilt dist's in stock. When I asked them to look up the 225 dist, it was the same number as the 230!
To make this a short story I converted the 225 dist to fit in the 230 with the parts from my old 230 dist It was almost bolt in and too easy! I will never use a 230 dist again.
