The Route Van can afford to have the axis offest horizontally, as it does, because they are not offset very much vertically. Our POWER-WAGONS have the transfer case much higher than the rear pinion for ground clearance. The route Van has the engine axis and pinion axis closer to the same height from the ground. With the Route Van, they basically took a standard driveline angle and laid it over ono its side.
