If the ends are same angle but opposite, they work fine too. This concept is used rarely in high clearance vehicles. Think of the possibility of rotating axles at spring perchs about 20 degrees, it would sure raise the driveline 3-4 inchs.

I wonder if anyone ever checked all the drive line angles on an old PW? With springs sagged, frame drooping, rubber mounts compressed, there can't be many drive lines with angles within one degree anymore....
