Sounds good to me. If I was to be fording creeks and tring to make it right for shows I would keep it 24 volts. It is not like cutting the frame just easier to work on if a problem acures. The old system works great just a problem keep the battries charged equily. Don't like paying $35.00 each for head lights! The old set up has new plugs, points and wires too. Someone else could use it for a proper restore. Mark H.
