Many of us sit back and enjoy our trucks and only go the the Forum for some "chit chat" with other POWER WAGON folks. For others, the Forum is a place to learn about these great trucks. While “chit chat” is nice, it may not be very helpful to the new guy trying to get into the vehicle collecting hobby.

Like Joe, I am one of those POWER WAGON aficionados who spends time and money to maintain a web site for sharing POWER WAGON information. Everyone with an e-mail address can have a personal web site for pictures of their pets and children. Some internet search engines might even find your personal site, but it won’t be on the first pages of the 21,546,926 results. Having a “dot com” Internet address costs us money, but it makes it easier for the rest of you to find our sites and have access to the information.

“Chit chat” costs Joe since he pays for the band width. He must be a really nice guy since many of those who do a lot of “chit chat” are not on his Wall of Fame. And I believe he is okay with it. Maybe some of you are “too” okay with it.

Mike’s point is that too much of the band with that Joe and the Wall of Fame contributors pay for is used up with questions already asked and answered, when other sources for those answers are just a “click” or two away.

I have just revised my Kempner POWER WAGON Museum main page to make it faster to get to the POWER WAGON information you are looking for. I have moved some sections to the Main Page that used to require a “click” to get to. For example, the Technical Support section is on the Main Page with the links to the detailed information right there. The introduction to the Technical Support section discusses the second point that Mike is making – good information versus dangerous wrong information. You should always take some time to get the best answer. “Easy asked” and “easy answered” might get you – or me – killed or injured.

Mike, thanks for bringing this up.
