Trust me on this it isn't necessary to up the compression you'll just have to use a higher octane gas. That 318 has plenty of torque especially if you keep your stock diffs. There is only one guy as I have been told who makes a cam for the poly but again I see no need for it, stock is fine. I had to have my heads completely rebuilt and the only thing that wasn't replaced were the heads themselves. It cost me $600 but they are good as new, I know that should be for that price. Jason who posted on this thread is the guy I was refering to and he can give you a heads up on his 318/PW combo.
