Due to current situation I will NOT sell this vehicle out of the United States.
Purchased this truck unrestored from Chris Davis in Los Angeles. The truck was originally a US Navy vehicle assigned to NAS Whidbey Island. Upon release from active duty it was sold to a family in Washington state, where Chris found it. I had it transported cross country to Virginia (current location) and did a frame off restoration. In the interim I sold the truck to a local family who find themselves in a situation where they must now reluctantly put it up for sale.They have asked me to assist them in this matter.
Details of the restoration:
Body and chassis were sandblasted, primed with Gillespie red oxide and top coated with Gillespie #319 shade OD. I was fortunate in that I was able to locate an original set of seat frames and they are now installed in the truck. I purchase a reproduction antennae mount with guard and installed on truck with an NOS MP-48 antennae base. I replaced the flooring in the rear with tongue and groove oak planks as faithful to the original flooring as I could make it. There are a couple more items I am looking for at the present to bring this vehicle back 100% to original.
New parts installed include all brake components, clutch/pressure plate t-o bearing, carburetor and fuel pump with hand primer lever, wiring, lights, etc. 12v starter and generator were rebuilt.
