I love these trucks, and in fact I have a M-37 for sale, but I could not honestly recommend one for what you are looking to do. AVERAGE speed on the M-37 is around 38 mph with 45-50 possible and 30 on hills not uncommon. I am a maintenance supervisor for DANA Corp. and I drive 25 miles one way. I have had M-37's with V-8's and they are still slow unless they are re-geared and that is pricey. You still have to stop them when you get them going fast, and that is pricey. You can make it work if you are patient or if you have lots of cash to spend. Id look into a W series truck for what you want (not a WM300, they are the same!). Just my $.02 worth, and that and $5000 will get you what you want.
