Okay, here's the deal. I bought this Jeep brand spankin' new on December 27 of '98. It's a 1999 and so far I've had it back to the dealership twice to have a leak fixed. At first I thought I was just tracking a lot of snow in and that was why the floor was wet. So I invested in some Husky floor liners thinking that the problem would be solved. WRONG. I pulled up one of the mats to find about a half inch of ice of the passenger side floor, front and back. I looked and looked for the damn leak to no avail. As the weather got warmer, I realized that the water was getting in from UNDERNEATH. The seam was bad along the passenger side floor. So I took it to the dealership...Their first attempt at fixing it was unsuccesful. So a few weeks later, I took it back AGAIN. This time they said they had an outside contracter doing the work and that it would be guaranteed. Great. Well, he did a real number on it. He basically coated the whole damn seam and floor in black silicone, then put the rug down before it dried. If you've even had seriously wet rugs in your vehicle, you know how they tend to get "rank" after a while. I told the dealership I wanted new carpet (no small feat as the carpet is one huge piece). They ordered new carpet. Great. However, last week when I hoppped into my little Jeep, I stepped directly into "Lake Holy Poop" on the driver's side. The Jeep hadn't been moved all weekend, so now I know I have ANOTHER leak coming from (most likely) one of my vents. I will not buy another Wrangler because I think I paid way too much for something that doesn't have a whole lot. ARGH. Will lemon law cover this?
