NAPA has nice thick exhaust manifold gaskets. I just installed a set and they are working great so far. Had to use my exhaust and a new (used) intake. Did not machine the surfaces but it's not a bad idea and probably not a waste of money. NAPA has the gasket that goes between the two manifolds also. About $12.50 for manifold to block, manifold to manifold, and carb to manifold. Don't forget the manifold to exhaust pipe gasket also. (I know someone who did that and had to spend $8.50 for a piece of gasket material to make one.)
