Andy, My 64 W100 Town Wagon Power Wagon (tedious) has the heavy duty springs and axles which are 3/4 ton. It came that way because it also was ordered with the winch. 1/2 tons ordered heavy duty had 3/4 ton gear. 3/4 ton ordered heavy duty had not quite (8000lb. GVW) 1 ton gear. 1 tons were 10,000lb GVW with helper springs. Standard 1/2 ton front springs were 1350 lbs and optional were 1550 lbs, with a Dana 44 (3000 lb) axle. Standard 1/2 ton rear springs were 1550 lbs and optional were 1750 lbs, with a Dana 60 (4500 lb) axle. Rumor has it that you can put 3000 lbs in the beast. My piano just made it ride better. Ciao, Gary
