To answer the questions briefly.
You want more information, email me or call Paul at MARS or you local EPA office.

1) According to Pual, Hercules managment has shut down a couple of production lines,
including the one that made the 3.7DT/DTA. Paul says he was working on a deal to
purchase a six cylinder line and twenty-six acres of the plant with the idea of putting
the four cylinder back into production in a year or so, but the deal fell through...

2) The Hercules kit had a line on the literature that said that the conversion was only
for repowering trucks built before a certain date.

3) EPA rules for "offroad" use and for repowering old stuff are different than those
for "on road" or current production vehicles. When asked by the folks at Cummins Atlantic,
I told them that I was going to put it in a '53 M37 ex military truck that I was going to
use on the farm and on construction projects. (all very true, by the way). Not a problem.

One of my contractors showed up on a project last week with a custum truck he had just built
with a 4BTA (with a rear sump oil pan) as the auxilary power source... Over the road truck, but
the rig on the back is used on Highway Construction Projects which are classed as "off road."

To summarize, my "bad news" is that Paul can't get a motor for me, the good news is that I
can get a Cummins for my truck.
