I am sure I am far from your political persuasions but I am
not so convinced that that's what we are dealing with here.
If these zoning zealots are to be called "gestapo" why not
observe that gestapos were as absolutely far to the political
right as you can get.
I think this is more a case of them versus us. We are "them" to
the guys writing the ordinances. Those guys want manicured lawns,
not trucks.
Where I live, we have lots of wildlife including black bears.
People move in from the cities and want to eliminate them. Is this a
right-wing or a left-wing position? I don't think the question makes
sense. People from both sides can either appreciate (as I do)
the beauty of wildlife or want to pave it all over and make a golf course.
