Just locate two winch extensions and a complete winch setup (doaner truck is best for the grill).
I did the following:
-Change the front grill to a winch model grill (shorter)
-Trim the radiator shroud bottom side edges at an angle from the base,(Grinder) to the bottom of the winch grill to clear
the rear support bar. (about 1" in at the base straight taper to the front edge(about 6" up from the base)) (Checkout a
winch model you'll see)
-Burned (could drill if you have a GOOD drill) some extra holes in the front frame horns to accept extra bolts. (I used
EVERY bolt hole available, in both the existing frame horns and the extensions, burning holes in the opposite part where
there was not a mate. This increased the amount of bolts but increased safety too)
-Split bumper set
-Split bumper brackets top and bottom (different from non-winch)
-Hooks for Split bumper (longer bottom shank than non-winch style)
-Winch assembly (Don't forget the front/ rear supports, the Brake handle and the engagement plate)
-PTO driveshaft
-PTO + gasket
-PTO lockout lever in cab floorboard
-Floorboard leather cover for winch model
-Winch data plate for dash

-Two large handfuls of 5/8" x 1 1/2" Fine Grade 8 bolts/ lock washers and nuts
-Large Wrench/ breaker bar
-A little time.
Mine looks factory, not one person has commented on it in twelve years. Pulls the truck around, pulls the halftrack
around, never a problem. I have since found a 3/4 T winch model Cmd Car, but that's another project.
I don't think any Dodge Power Wgon/ Mil Vehicle looks right without the winch sticking out saying "Ok, you go play little
truck and get stuck and I'LL get you out when your done"
Regards WAW
