I put one in a feed truck a bunch of years back.It was smaller than a four speed transmision and looked the same on both ends.I mounted it so it reduced the speed for feeding cows.IT seemed like it reduced the speed by half,but I never counted revolutions.The truck was a 2 1/2 ton and saw hard use ( mud,snow & overload).The "Brownie box" never gave out in 15 years of every day winter use.Other than this I do not know much about the construction ect.
