Here's the details. The truck is a 1953 FARGO FP4 2 ton. It is the high end model designated as a custom cab. A custom cab in cludes the payed for extras including: Left door arm rest, Dual interior sunvisors, Door wing windows, Heater/Defroster, Very rare large chrome FARGO (Planet Earth) emblem mounted on top front of hood. Rare hand crank to start vehicle if electrics fail and a correct exterior windshield sun shield that attaches to the side rain gutters and centre windshield strip. It does NOT have cab corner windows as these were not available in Canada. It has a fine running 251 CID with a 5 speed NEW PROCESS transmission. It also has a 2 speed double reduction rear end. A PTO is attached to the right side of the tranny and operates a hydraulic pump for the twin cylinder hoist. It is a very solid truck. It has only small minor dents in few places. The only rust is on the centre sides of the two front
fenders. This is a very common occurence in these '48-'53 Dodge/Fargo trucks. The windshields are cracked. I have spare original glass. The speedo is inop due to a broken cable. I have a spare good one. The large chrome Fargo earth globe mounted in the centre of the grill is damaged. I have an excellent replacement. Included is nearly another truck for parts. These parts are genuine originals from another truck of the same make, model year. Further included will be a whack of all ORIGINAL (NOT repo's) manuals. These include the shop manual, shop manual supplement, parts list manual, MoPaR parts list price list manual (1953), Truck service operation time schedule (1953), truck operators (owners) manual, Chrysler field school manual (1951) and original PTO installation/information papers, letter dated June 22, 1953 from Chrysler to dealers dealing with truck service. This is signed by J.H. Hickey, General parts and service Manager, Chrysler Corporation of Canada. Other small goodies will be thrown in with the sale as I will have no need for them. I had the intention of restoring this truck but have recently moved and do not really have the available space. The truck is and has been inside most of it's life. If I remember correctly it has just over 30,000 on the speedo. I would like to find it a good home. If there's any question just ask. Thanks.
