If I ever leave Missouri, I have always thought about settling in Alamosa.
What kind of tour buses have you seen at the Sand Dunes? Am I correct about the Kaisers? The current operators told me the Jeeps are still around. He said they use them to haul trash and ocassionally to rescue the Dodges if they get stuck. I aksed them to help me contact the previous owners. I'm still waiting to hear from them. I would be interested in any of your recollections or local contacts that might have good stories.
That picture was taken in 1999. We came over Medano Pass and camped behind the Dunes. We waited for the full moon and climbed the 700-foot dunes at night. The next day we went up to Zapata Falls. Tracey loves the Aligator farm.
