I figured a custom aluminum rad would be the way to go if possible. I have a 420 on the back of a 230, and did not need to modify the pedals at all. I just needed to get a different sector plate for the handbrake and 4wd levers.
I'm would actually like to convert to a NP435 that I have. The 435 has a longer stickout legenth on the input shaft, so I may have to space it back, also, the input shaft is a larger diameter, so I guess I would need to use a Clutch disc out of a 318 or something.
The reason for the switch to the 435 (dual output PTO) is so that I can run a mechanical PTO to drive the MU2 winch, then I have a Hydraulic PTO for the passenger side and a Huydraulic M-3 that I can put between the frame rails in the back of the swivel frame. Just route the hydraulic hoses through the swivel joint. Plus the 435 seems to be a more robust transmission.
