Jonas - 251 Swap from last forum...

Jonas,

I put one of VPW's 251's into my WDX. There was no way I could succesfully modify the radiator the way Steve described and have it work well. I had a custom one made by Griffin Radiators and it bolted right in perfectly. Other than that, the other changes to do this swap were:
1) Drill 2 holes in the frame front cross member to make it like a WM300 for the front engine mount.
2) If you use a NP420 like I did, you'll need new center floor pan.
3) Some people say you need a new clutch and brake pedal assy from a later truck. My old ones worked just fine.
4) New PTO to go with the NP420
