Transfer case differences?? (1/2 ton WC to 3/4 ton wc)

Does anyone know for sure if a single speed transfer case from a 3/4 ton WC WW2 model truck will mount in the place of a single speed transfer case from a 1/2 ton WC early ww2 truck???

I know there must be some differences in the units, but isn't the mounting very similiar?

Or is it not?

Anyone can tell me if the differences are simple enough or are the mounting points really different, spacing different, etc?
