I am about to hit this problem with my Carryall (If and when the darn title comes through and I get the shipping squared away ) .
I use my current 4x4 every weekend. It articulates about 14 inches in the frame and the suspension is softer than stock. The truck still beats the crap out of me compared to many newer trucks.
But what will happen to my Carryall Body if i use it in the same manner ? Do I go the full cage route in a effort to control the body damage from frame articulation and then try and make up spring work more ? Anybody tried air bags ?
The question regarding springs is very valid. I have built a custom suspension in one of my old trucks that used coils and springs. The coils made for a great ride and once loaded the leaf spring took over. It took about a 1000 lb load before the leaf springs started to be noticable.

I will lert the board know what works and what does not, but I do not like to waste my time trying stuff if someone else has done the same thing and can make a valid comment.

thanks

Bruce...in bootiful B.C.
