...Getrag is a supplier, New Venture is a Chrysler owned division. It doesn't make much sense to leave a division twisting in the wind in order to out-source the transmission. The American workers at the NV plant are Union, the Getrag worker are also Union, but have a lower productivity than the US workers. It doesn't bode well for the longevity of the Cummins deal when the Jerries want to use the Merc. diesel in the next Ram.
