I have seen a lot of bad sale on the last couple of fourms and thought I would tell mine and ask you what to do.
A year and a half ago I found a 54 ffpw in Baker NV. I bought it from a guy in SLC UT for 2,000.00. He said he got it from his friend in Moab UT. I brought it home and started to disassemble it. I had it striped to the frame and ready too sand blast when a person from Moab called and he needed the serial # becouse the guy that got it from him took the wrong one. I gave him the number and he then let me talk to the sherrif. I seems the the man from slc and his friend stole the pw and moved it to baker to get it out of sight. I faxed a copy of the bill of sale and a statment to the sherrif. He said to put it back together and the owner would come and get it. Later the owner called and said the guys that stole it would come and buy it back with in two weeks to keep there selves out of jail. So I reassembled it and no one ever came. It has been over a year. I have never been contacted again. I tryed calling the sherrif but can't get threw. So I am out my mony and can't do anthing with the truck.
