Engine conversion clearance question

I'm doing a 318/NP435 conversion on my WDX and when aligning the cab on the frame the right hand side of the transmission hump/floor pan hits the bell housing right about where clutch linkage window is. The way I see it if I raise the cab enough to clear the bell housing It'll raise everything including the bed,radiator and running boards. I'm using the same depth blocks that came off originaly. It looks like the engine/transmission are centered. I could saw off a piece of the floor pan to make clearance but then I'd have a small hole in the floor. Anybody else run into this problem??? Better yet, any solutions. Thanks, John
