We leave our GR, Dusty, out to guard the home at night and haven't had any unwanted visitors since (last 2 years). Dusty is quite territorial at all hours. Pre-Dusty I came up missing a handfull of precious things. You can actually spot the "spotters" when they cruise through the neighborhood on bicycles and you know within 2 days to 2 weeks someone in the neighborhood is going to get ripped off and I got tired of it being me. Dusty has a horrific growl and super loud bark and all the gardners fear him :) The great part is he wouldn't harm a hair on any one of our family or friends. He even knows the bartender next door really well but still let's us know when he gets home at 3AM. The dawg works for us !
