APB,
I use an 18' trailer and it works great. I was going to order a 20' when I ordered this trailer. The shop just happened to be working on a 20 footer when I was there. I looked at that trailer and thought it was extremely long. The trailer manufacturer told me that it seems that 18' is kind of the cut off point for being very long. He said that a lot of his customers complain about how long the trailer is when it is 20' or longer. Unless you're planning on hauling something additional to your truck, 18' I'm sure would suit your needs. My trailer is 12,000 GVW and I love it. It doesn't lean when going around corners etc.
Take care,
Randy Baker
