Hi Jim,

Can't answer specifics on parabolic design springs, but I was referred to the link here by Mopar Norm. They gave me a quote on brand new springs that I just couldn't believe! GREAT price, including a different custom spring rate to compensate for Braden LU2 and 100lbs front bumper, as in $425.00 or so, front and rear, per pair, brand new!

They might be able to build you a custom rate spring to fill the bill for your needs. The polyethylene inserts help ride, and the cut design on ends of each individual leaf have an effect on ride characteristics, so ask them about that, too.

You don't mention which 1 ton you have. On a few select models Dodge put the front axle spring shackle in front, with solid pivot mount in the rear. It helps to fabricate a new setup on these, and change to rear shackle design for smoother ride.

Also worn springs with that design result in shackle being pushed forward to end of travel which completely defeats the shackle's actions. This can occur on any shackle design, where springs have sagged and shackle is locked against frame. Might want to check that on yours.

You can also run a lighter spring rate, and add the air suspension springs for use as an overload when you're hauling some weight. Several companies make the air springs, and I think Goodyear is making them also.
