I got the radiator and the water tube out of the way. Cleaned of the left front area of the engine block just below where the head joins up. And found machined flat space unlike the right side. I fully expected there to be a serial number in this area. I was of course disappointed. Are there any other locations where the serial number might reside. Or do I need to revisit Criminal Investigation 101 and remember how to raise a serial number with acid wash and UV light.
I believe the engine in question to be a 331 but I'm not sure . It bears Chrysler Firepower valve covers and a 4 bbl Carter.
Any assistance will greatly appreciated.
