Now that this topic has gone from "What an a**hole the buyer is" to "Willy-N, your motivation is not honorable" can't we move on? The person accusing Mark of unethical behavior seems not to remember the thousands of words of frustration that have been transmitted about this fool who refuses to come get his damned truck.
The fascination of us spectators is similar to that of the people who slow down to see a wreck at the side of the road. We want to know the "back story" and try to reconstruct in our own minds how something so simple got so out of hand, and how it could have been avoided.
Mark has shown remarkable patience, and has expended his own money to try to get a child-like moron to act his age and pick up his toys.
Had it been me, the truck would have been long gone. "Truck, officer?...well...there WAS a truck here for a while...wasn't mine...Nope, I don't know where it went...guy must have come and got it while me and the missus were at church last Sunday."
Meanwhile, the VIN plate would have been swimming with fishes, and the parts would have been sold on Ebay. Now, THAT'S unethical, but practical.
As we say in Brooklyn, "Enough, already!"
