Had some frustration today. I bought a power steering box that had been ground on and into an oil passage. I completely dissassembled it prior to giving it to a friend to weld it back up. He did a magnificent job with the welding. The tears started when I tried to slide the ball nut into the bore. No go! I measured it in 2 directions with calipers to find the bore is now egg shaped. :( Anyone need a canoe anchor? Oh well, thats the roll of the dice, Manny, dont take this as a slam to you, It was bought as-is and I am took a chance. I have a new (rebuilt) one on order for $165 including the core and delivery. So much for my weekend plans.
