I am planning to build a 40X80 Pole barn with 14 foot ceilings and a 8 inch thick concrete floor. So, after doing the math, that is 3200 SQ foot. Reasons I plan to go so HUGE on the building is, For one, that will be my place of full time empolyment sometime, so I can leave the confinds of that factory FOR GOOD! in afew years. Also, I better get what I want now that I am still single. As for house, I plan to build a 1 level ranch style house that would be 1000 SQ feet or thereabouts, with a full finsished basement, so the house would be 2000 Sq foot after I am done.......The barn would be bigger by 1200 SQ foot....
