I read yesterday of several sellers having been found liable for shill bidding (bidding up their own auctions) to the tune of $90,000.00 in damages .
Also I ran across a seller with hidden terms recently. The post auction payment instructions demanded an additional $12.00 in PayPal fees. These were not mentioned in the item description and I have contacted Ebay as I believe this to be deceptive. All fees and charges should be listed in the auction and not invoked after a sale is made. Apparently Ebay agrees with me since they have informed me I do not have to complete the transaction.
